Family Traits
I'd like to cut down on the explanations with a brief post: yes, I have a black eye. How did I get it? I had a little run-in with my car door. The general run-down of events: opened car door, leaned forward, banged my cheek into the corner of car door.
I blame it on the genes. Take a moment to compare:

Grandma got her black eyes by missing the bottom stair in the house she'd lived in for years. I bet I could dig up similar pictures of other families members but this should be enough proof: accident-proneness is hereditary.

Wow! I didn't know shiners where genetic. But is that where y'all get the red hair from???
